Eve is provided following a structured assessment process that begins with a remote pre-assessment. Next, our clinical professionals conduct trial sessions with you and your companion to confirm your eligibility and provide guidance—so you know exactly what to expect.
Once your eligibility has been confirmed, you and your companion can begin your training with certified instructors. Through an effective program consisting of 5 sessions—each lasting about two hours—you can earn your certification in as little as one week or spread out over 30 days.
Once you and your companion have been certified, you’ll be ready to receive your Eve exoskeleton at home and enjoy standing mobility in your daily life!

Eve is a self-balancing personal exoskeleton designed for everyday life. It allows users to stand and walk hands-free—without crutches or a walker—so they can turn around, reach for objects, and use their hands while standing upright: standing at the kitchen counter, conversing at eye level, or reaching the bathroom sink. Because Eve stabilizes itself autonomously, standing independently is possible even without trunk control, provided a trained caregiver is present. Eve is designed to complement your wheelchair, not to replace it.
Eve is intended for adults 18 years of age or older with spinal cord injuries at any neurological level who are able to operate Eve using the remote control and tolerate the standing position. There are also physical limitations, as Eve is designed to accommodate specific body measurements: up to 220 lb (100 kg) and 6 ft 4 in (1.94 m), within established ranges for thigh length, leg length, pelvic width, and joint mobility. Eve is a prescription-only device, so the final decision always rests with the licensed healthcare professional who prescribes it, following an individual assessment.

It is a Class II medical device available by prescription only, so it must be prescribed by a licensed healthcare professional. Eve will be commercially available in the United States on September 17, 2026. Other regions will follow.
Yes, always. Eve is used in the presence of a trained companion, who is trained and certified alongside you and remains by your side, within arm’s reach, while you walk. Your companion is also the person who helps you safely exit the device if something goes wrong. Companions are also evaluated through a physical test that demonstrates their ability to hold the device steady if you lose your balance.
On flat indoor surfaces and flat outdoor surfaces that are part of your building: a porch, a balcony, a terrace, or a patio. The surface must be firm, dry, and smooth: tile or other hard, smooth flooring, short-pile carpet, or concrete in these outdoor areas. Eve is not designed for stairs, slopes, or ramps—including ADA-compliant curb cuts—nor for wet or icy surfaces, high-traffic areas, parking lots, or roadways, and is not intended for sports activities. It should never be used to cross a public roadway, as its walking speed is too slow to be safe.
You and your companion will train together and be certified together, following a clinical evaluation and individualized adjustment. The program consists of five sessions, each lasting about two hours, led by certified instructors, and combines instruction with guided practice. It covers transfers, remote control operation, walking on flat surfaces, activities of daily living, and safety and emergency procedures, and concludes with an evaluation that assesses both normal use and emergency situations. It can be completed in as little as one week or spread out over approximately 30 days.
