From Diagnosis to Possibilities

Atalante X enables patients with mild to severe gait disorders—including those with upper limb impairments or cognitive disorders—to stand and move around hands-free. Thanks to its self-stabilization technology, Atalante X replicates a physiological gait pattern to address complex clinical profiles.

Atalante X can be used for both early mobilization and chronic conditions. It is integrated into programs that follow the core principles of rehabilitation: early mobilization, high intensity, repetition, personalization, and specificity.

Clinical Versatility

It adjusted its parameters to meet each patient's therapeutic goals, from early treatment through long-term rehabilitation.

Autonomous Stabilization

It stabilizes itself automatically so that all patients, including those without trunk control, can walk safely while therapists focus on their therapy.

High-Intensity Rehabilitation

Enables intensive and repeatable gait training on the floor, which could also reduce the workload on staff.

Measured progression

It tracks gait parameters in real time and compares performance across sessions for a quick, standardized assessment of the patient's progress.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Atalante X?

Atalante X is a self-balancing, hands-free rehabilitation exoskeleton designed for walking on the ground. It stabilizes itself autonomously, allowing all patients—including those without trunk control—to stand and walk without crutches or a walker while therapists focus on treatment. It features 12 motors, an articulated ankle, and replicates a physiological gait pattern. It is used for both early mobilization and chronic conditions.

Where is Atalante X authorized or approved?

Atalante X has received FDA approval on three occasions: for stroke rehabilitation in December 2022, for spinal cord injury from T5 to L5 in February 2024, and for spinal cord injury from C4 to L5 and multiple sclerosis in November 2025. It has CE marking in Europe, with an expanded certification in August 2025 covering a broader range of neurological conditions, including tetraplegia. It is listed in the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods as a Class IIa device and received authorization from ARCSA in Ecuador in July 2026.

What does a session involve, and what can we measure?

The sessions consist of gait training on the floor: repeated steps, weight shifts, turns, and multidirectional movement, at the frequency and intensity required by your protocol. The assistance can be configured asymmetrically and on a joint-by-joint basis to align with each patient’s therapeutic goals. The device is fitted while the patient is seated: a study published on patients who had suffered a stroke reported an average fitting time of 6 minutes and 43 seconds and a removal time of 1 minute and 32 seconds. Gait metrics are recorded in real time to support data-driven recovery, and the battery allows for all-day use with just one battery change.

What training does our team need?

Operators must have completed a certified training program before using the device, and Atalante X is used under the supervision of trained healthcare professionals throughout the entire session. The schedule and duration are arranged with our team: please ask us when you request a demo.

What is Atalante X not intended for?

Atalante X is not intended for sports activities or for climbing stairs. It is a rehabilitation device for clinical settings, used under the supervision of trained personnel; it is not a personal device for home use. Our personal exoskeleton for home use is Eve, a separate device with its own approval and its own indication.
