Atalante X is intended for use in adult patients with the following conditions: hemiplegia/hemiparesis, paraplegia/paraparesis, and tetraplegia/tetraparesis, regardless of the underlying cause.
Atalante X is intended for people with hemiplegia resulting from a stroke, a spinal cord injury (C4–L5), or multiple sclerosis (MS).
The device is intended for patients 18 years of age or older who are able to stand.
Before using the device, the user must complete a certified training program.
Atalante X is not intended for athletic activities or climbing stairs.

Atalante X is a self-balancing, hands-free exoskeleton designed for gait training on the floor during rehabilitation. The exoskeleton balances itself, allowing all patients—even those without trunk control—to stand and walk without crutches or a walker, while therapists focus on the therapy. It features 12 motors, including a movable ankle joint, and replicates physiological gait patterns. It can be used for both early mobilization and in cases of chronic conditions.
Atalante X has been approved three times by the FDA: for stroke rehabilitation in December 2022, for spinal cord injuries at the T5–L5 level in February 2024, and for spinal cord injuries at the C4–L5 level and for multiple sclerosis in November 2025. In Europe, Atalante X bears the CE mark, with an expanded certification in August 2025 covering a broader range of neurological conditions, including tetraplegia. Atalante X is listed as a Class IIa device in the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods and was approved by ARCSA in Ecuador in July 2026.
The sessions consist of gait training on the floor: repeated stepping, weight shifting, turns, and multidirectional movements—at the frequency and intensity specified in your protocol. The support can be adjusted asymmetrically and for specific joints, allowing it to be tailored to each patient’s individual therapy goals. The device is put on while seated—a published study involving stroke patients reported an average time of 6 minutes and 43 seconds to put it on and 1 minute and 32 seconds to take it off. Gait parameters are tracked in real time to support data-driven recovery, and the battery allows for all-day use with a single battery change.

Atalante X is not intended for sports activities or climbing stairs. It is a rehabilitation device for clinical use and is operated under the supervision of trained personnel; it is not a personal device for home use. Our personal exoskeleton for home use is Eve —a standalone device with its own approval and indications.
